A estratégia é aumentar o nível dos fretes “vendendo” menos espaço. 

Como estratégia de garantir o espaço mas com um tempo maior de ação para a chegada da carga no Brasil, dado a flutuação da moeda ou entraves logísticos locais, é necessário buscar tarifas mais competitivas com transit time maior, assim haverá mais tempo para o recebimento da mercadoria no destino e se programar.

(1) MAERSK / HSUD (and ZIM and HMM) together with MSC / Hapag / ONE decided to COMBINE (MERGE) their 2 services into 1 service for last 2 weeks of April. All of them will swap space amongst each other (it seems MSC joins too this time exceptionally since market is seriously bad) and thus each of them can will have a WEEKLY service but with lesser capacity. This combination will result a capacity cut of 30%.

(2) PIL / CMA CGM / COSCO / EMC will blank their SEAS2 service for ETD Qingdao 9/4 (confirmed to blank) , 23/4 & 7/5 (waiting for official announcement), this consortium cut will represent around 14%.
